We went on a bike ride today. Why? Because it’s Frickin FUN (Dr. Evil voice!) Many people don’t exercise or eat healthy because they think it’s boring or too much work.
They’re missing out on craptons of fun. If you do it the wrong way, you’re right, it’s ‘hella-lame’ (Eric Cartman voice!) So people (me, a few years ago) often do unhealthy things, because it’s easier or more fun. It’s easy to not exercise, & to watch South Park or scroll on Facebook instead. It’s more fun to eat buffalo chicken wings with fries, or cheesy-poofs like Cartman.
We want fun! Not strict discipline & boringness.
The trick is fairly simple: figure out *what’s healthy* & *what’s fun.* Then put those pieces together like a puzzle & peep the NEW you! You might try some of my favorites:
Whats Healthy
• Berries
• Almond butter
• Avocados
• Chicken
• Oatmeal with flaxseeds, fruit, cinnamon
• Bananas
• Herbalife Healthy Meal Shake
• Stir-fried veggies w/ olive oil, spices
• Tuna
• Turkey chilli
That’s just a start & just my tastebuds. You need to experiment & find healthy foods that you love. Also, tastebuds change over time so give different foods a chance.
What’s Fun
I LOVE resistance training but if you hate it, don’t do it. Its important to love exercise. How? Its simple, go play! If you play every day, you’ll love it.
How I play:
• I go on bike rides with friends & look at pretty leaves
• I put on my favorite song & have all out dance parties
• I put on Omi’s new jam – ‘Hula Hoop’ & work it
• Im a piggy back pro
• I’ll sometimes hike Mt. Everest or that little hill down the street
• I walk the beach & recite poetry
• I enjoy annoying my brother – flick his ear & sprint
• I flex my left bicep while brushing my teeth
• I love plank competitions – anywhere, anytime, anyone!
Haa! You know I’m playin but these are all awesome ways to have fun getting fit. Dont do things that bore you, life’s to short. Find where fun & fit collide & make it rain!!
